Environmental Management

EGROUP is committed to operate in an green and environmentally sound manner, with the objective being to ensure that our products, processes and practices do not adversely impact on the health and well being of our employees, the community or the environment.

 

Our Goal

EGROUP will comply with all environmental standards and regulations relevant to the operation of the individual contracts.

 

EGROUP will continue to research and expand our knowledge of environmental effects, particularly with regard to the development of policies, which take account of economic and social costs and environmental benefits

 

EGROUP will pursue this policy through the following principal avenues:

 

  • Extend the use of environmental audits to identify environmental impacts at all types of operating locations and implement practical corrective measures promptly.
  • Initiate practicable programs for reduction in wastes by process changes, raw material selection and waste product treatment.
  • Extend the use of risk assessment and management techniques to identify and control potential environmental hazards more precisely.
  • Include environmental conservation awareness segments in employee and supervisory training programs.
  • Participate in industry and other environmental bodies
  • Support and practice the use of environmentally appropriate packaging
  • Support and practice the use of recycled materials whenever practicable

 

EGROUP initiatives already used include but are not limited to;

 

  • The use of energy efficient computers, monitors and accessories
  • The use of energy efficient low wattage lighting bulbs
  • Automatic off timers for lighting switch
  • Water Saving accessories ( taps, shower heads etc)
  • Economical vehicles with the use of unleaded fuel
